Do Now: Stars Wars
Today, in Media Arts we watched Star Wars: Episode V- The Empire Strikes Back. This movie was made 30 years ago. The graphics don't look that good now, but back then, those graphics were the best graphics. The movie starts out with Luke Skywalker in a snowy climate, but then he gets punched in the face by a snow monster. He is brought back into his cave hanging from the icy ceiling, then awakens and tries to get back down, when he uses his force to grab his light saber, the snow monster comes back in, and Luke hits him with his light saber. The orange suits start with their jets start to attack the monsters.

OK. Pretty good synopsis. What about the goofs? Did you see any of them? What do you think of the special effects, knowing that this film is almost 30 years old? Do you know why this is an important film in the history of film making? Keep thinking about all these issues as we watch the rest of the movie and the next one.
