High School Acceptance
The high school that I applied to was Lowell, Galileo, Washington, and Lincoln High. I put Lowell as my first choice because it has high academics and my parents would be proud of me if I did get in. When the letters that told you where you got accepted to came, my heart was racing while I opened the letter. After opening it carefully and taking the letter out, I was shocked because I actually made it into Lowell! I was jumping up and down with happiness.

T.V Advertisement
One advertisement that I liked is the SUBWAY commercial because every time I see it, it would have people keep saying $5.00, $5.00, $5.00 foot long and it makes me want to buy one to eat.

PSA Summary
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83yBGRHt090&safety_mode=true&persist_safety_mode=1
In media arts, we learned how to make a public service announcement with help from San Francisco's Film Society. We split into groups and I was paired with Luz and Stephanie. Our subject was something like making the world a better place. On the first day of making the PSA, I was a little confused on how we should make the script and where we were going to find the pictures because we had to take them ourselves for copyright reasons. So, we started making a script, filming, finding the music, and taking the pictures.
After we finished everything, we started to edit the PSA. The most hard part of the PSA for me would be editing and filming. All of us at least messed up once on our parts and editing took a lot of time, concentration, and work. We had to add and remove stuff, make the music fit in with our voices, fix the pictures we took, etc... I guess all of the work payed off because it turned out to look pretty good. I'm glad that the San Francisco Film Society helped us when we were stuck. I thought that this was a great experience because we learned some of the camera shots such as close-ups, long-shots, and medium-shots.

The props that we need will be a Itouch, Converse (shoes), and skinny jeans. M.C Escher Assignment
Today in media arts, we looked at one of MC Escher's pictures called "Relativity." We all found 3 perspectives in "Relativity" and you are able to locate all 3 of them if you look close enough. When I first saw this piece of art, it was a bit hard to see all the perspectives and confusing. I thought it was overall fun, challenging, and interesting to do because it made me look carefully on what kind of tesselation this is.

Homework Assignment 1/27/2011
In the movie "Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back," the Death star is a nickname for a powerful weapon made by the Empire. In the beginning of the movie, the Death star was actually destroyed because of the victory of the Galactic Empire. Everyone went into hiding and it leads to the rebels making a base on the ice planet Hoth.
Darth Vador was chasing Princess Leia around the galaxy because Princess Leia had imperial plans that made up the readouts of the Death Star and how it works. The Death Star was known as a terror weapon because it could destroy anything. Darth Vador and his stormtroopers chased her all around to try to get the readouts and plans for it, so they would be able to figure out how it works and use it.
Luke Skywalker was a jedi and a war hero who participated in defeating the Galactic Empire in the Galactic War. He started to train with jedi master Obi Wan Kanobi and met Han Solo with Princess Leia. Princess Leia is actually Luke Skywalker's twin sister, but he didn't know that until later. Luke also destroyed the Death Star and joined the rebel alliance.
